Juanita Garcia

Juanita Garcia is Vice President of Student Services for Southeast New Mexico College.

Ms. Garcia directs and oversees student enrollment activities, to include admissions, registration, financial aid and scholarships, student records, and data collection. Ms. Garcia directs and oversees academic advisement, career counseling, and student discipline programs; provides guidance and support as appropriate for various student life activities. Ms. “Garcia also focuses on reviewing school policy changes for the president. In addition to helping with policy building, she also is responsible for student conduct and streamlining services. Ms. Garcia encourages excellence customer service and ensures that students are treated respectfully.

Ms. Garcia graduated with an Associate of General Studies in 2003, a Bachelor of University Studies in 2006, and then a Master of Education in 2009. All of Ms. Garcia’s degrees were earned from Eastern New Mexico University. She has been with NMSU/SENMC since 2017.

Ms. Garcia is currently leading the Student Services Team through a systems transition. Ms. Garcia is part of several committees on campus such as the diversity committee, persistence, and completion committee, and the distant learning advisory committee, to name a few. She also has several community involvements such as being a member of the Rotary Board.
