Professor Erin Kuh is the Department Chair and Assistant Professor of the Allied Health. She is originally from California and has been with NMSUC/SENMC since 2018. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Nutrition in 2004 from Chapman University, and then in 2011, she received her MBA from Dominican University while simultaneously completing the Dietetic Supervised Practice Program to become a Registered Dietitian.
Currently, Professor Kuh teaches a variety of classes including, Intro to Pharmacology, Intro to Pathophysiology, and Legal and Ethics of Healthcare. She is also involved in several committees including the Curriculum Committee, the Faculty Senate, and the College Council Member. In addition to this, she also worked on the Credit for Prior Learning Committee, ad hoc dual credit committee, and also helped coordinate and plan the first Early College Survival Boot camp. Within the community, she is a member of the Eddy County Health Council, the media coordinator for the New Mexico Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a volunteer sports and wellness dietitian consultant.
Professor Kuh has contributed much to the Allied Health Program at Southeast New Mexico College, her advice to students would be, “Do what you can with what you have, where you are, and make it happen.”
