David McIntosh

Dr. David McIntosh is an Associate Professor of History and Anthropology in the Department of Social Sciences. He is originally from Fairfield, Ohio and, prior to beginning his academic career, had a fifteen-year career in information technology. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in from Miami University in anthropology at age thirty-three. He then proceeded to receive two master’s degrees, the first from the City University of New York in anthropology, and the second from NMSU in history, with a graduate minor in archaeology. In 2022, he graduated from the University of California - Santa Barbara with a Ph.D. in history. During his time in California, he taught courses in history, academic writing, and Chicano studies.

Dr. McIntosh has been with SENMC since 2022. He has much to offer the college and, with his unique background and experience, brings a new dynamic to the classroom. In 2024, he was awarded SENMC's inaugural P.R.I.D.E. Mountain Lion Teaching Award.
