The SENMC Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter, Alpha Rho Xi, is on a mission to spread holiday cheer and raise funds for their upcoming trip in April to the PTK Catalyst Conference in Orlando, Florida. As part of their festive initiative, they invite the community to join them at "Christmas on the Pecos" to meet Santa, The Gingerbread Man, Reindeer, and Christmas Dog between PJ and B’s Rio Café and the Christmas Shop on December 15th, 16th, 17th, and the 23rd, from 6 to 9 pm, for an opportunity to capture cherished holiday memories.

For over 100 years Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) has been recognized as the official honor society for two-year colleges. Its mission is to recognize academic achievement of college students and to provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders. PTK currently has a network of over 3.8 million members that expands internationally between the U.S.A. and 10 sovereign nations.

SENMC PTK Advisor, Dr. Raven Anderson said “It is such an honor to be one of the advisors for Alpha Rho Xi chapter at SENMC. Watching the student’s excitement to give back to the community in this way is amazing. It brings the holiday spirit alive and is full of fun and laughter.”
